Emma Kunz House

The Emma Kunz House which is commonly known as a German street house, is a prime example of the brick cottages favored by the German-American laborers in the first
decades of the German migration to Belleville.  Jacob Krill, a plasterer who had been born in Bavaria, and his wife Nancy had the house built in 1851 in the Klassizismus (Neoclassical) architectural style familiar to immigrants from the German states.
